Located in the West Hills, Bridlemile is a southwest Portland community that is mostly residential and is known for its strong sense of community and regular community-wide events.

Buyers Are Going to Love Living In this Portland Neighborhood!

The homes in this neighborhood were mostly built between the 1950s and 1970s. The represent an array of architectural styles – from ranch to split level and even some contemporaries.

In the 2000s, a number of new homes were also constructed in this neighborhood, giving home buyers even more options to choose from!

A Tight-Knit Sense of Community

As previously mentioned, this community is quite close-knit, thanks in part to the Bridlemile Community Outreach Committee. This committee is dedicated to planning social events like picnics and potlucks that will help bring the entire community together. It’s a wonderful amenity to have for the neighborhood!

And on the weekends, residents love checking out any one of the several parks in this community, including Fanno Creek Natural Area, Fanno Creek Greenway Trail and Hamilton Park.

To help protect these natural areas, the Bridlemile Creek Stewards was formed in recent years, with the mission of restoring natural areas and the environment in the area. They’ve been highly successful and even held a Southwest Portland Neighborhood Stream Festival for four years in a row to raise awareness about erosion, litter and more!

Because of their active involvement, the Bridlemile Creek Stewards actually won the Community Service award of the year and were even nominated for the Tualatin Riverkeepers Green Heron Award for multiple years.

Schools Within This Neighborhood
