Linnton/Forest Park

Linnton/Forest Park Neighborhood Guide and Homes for Sale in Portland Oregon

Situated between Forest Park and the Willamette River, Linnton is a wonderful neighborhood that features beautiful homes and a strong sense of community.

Sharing borders with neighborhoods like Northwest Industrial, St. Johns and Cathedral Park, this neighborhood extends north into unincorporated Multnomah County and ends at the Sauvie Island Bridge.

Just like St. Johns, Linnton was actually originally its own town and was actually named after U.S. Senator Lewis F. Linn of Missouri, which was a proponent of settling the area.
By 1910, the town had been incorporated, although later in 1915, it was annexed by the city of Portland.

  • Kingsley Park
  • Linnton Park

Additionally, this community is served by the award-winning Portland Public Schools system, although there are plenty of excellent private schools nearby as well.
